So. The program I have been using for years - Gimp - is no longer working out for me.
After losing a drawing i had spent hours on before gimp froze up and closed out on me, I decided i'd check for an update.
There was an update. So i installed it.
Yeah. Bad move. The update is rather stupid, and could be debated to be a downgrade. Gimp has appeared to have removed the most commonly used and simplistic brushes (those would be the old fashion round dots that come in different sizes) and the pressure opacity setting is still there, but doesn't seem to do a single thing.
This displeases me greatly, because the drawing i was working on, was original. and i liked it.
AND. i'm working on Ironman and Benedict Cumberbatch. (or at least, i was.) My question to you guys is - are there any free softwares you can think of that i can use to continue drawing that preferably has a opacity setting when using a bamboo tablet?
I'm broke and I can't afford photoshop. And I really want to continue drawing.
:/
Any help would be appreciated.

Three Cheers for (not quite) five years.
Welp. I've been on this dA account for three years now.
I laugh and cringe at how terrible my first uploads are/were. If i weren't stingy, i'd pay the however many dollars it costs to change my account name, since it's no longer relevant.
*Pro tip, don't name your art account after a series you're writing before you've finished the first book. Things change, and the title will no longer be relevant or useful. Herpaderp.
We'll see if i can finally manage to finish up that drawing of Iron Man. All i know is that, i'm uber jealous of all the people i'm following on this, because holy cow, their stuff is amazing.
Anyways.
Thanks for all tho
100 Drawings Challenge!
1.) Make 100 pictures/drawings. Each picture/drawing must have one of the themes listed below. Each picture/drawing should have only ONE theme to it, otherwise it won't count.
2.) For those of us with a limited amount of time on our hands, this challenge is not constricted to 100 days. You can take two years if you need to.
3.) Although it would be most ideal for these to be drawn, you may use other forms of art (pictures, sculpting)
--- pictures should be of one's own artistic ability. You may not edit photos or break any other rules set out in the dA etiquette policy. Your pictures can be anything from sketches and doodles to great
Freedom.
What it must have been like, before those walls were built. The freedom to go where ever whenever one pleased. The lack of need for weapons that could kill massive numbers in the blink of an eye
She could only imagine the life that must have once blossomed out there; trees, flowers, lakes and people - there had been days when millions of people flooded through this city every day long before any of their time. The remaining four thousand or so were now trapped here like cattle. Of course, the bombs blasted away the original "Las Vegas" and the demons set fire to anything that hadn't been already destroyed. This left the greatly diminis
